Yesterday when I tried watching a .mkv file through VLC the player crashed. The crashing is seemingly random (not at the same point of the video each time) and immediate (player just disappears, no messages). When restarting VLC is does say it crashed and asks if I want to send in a report. This is particularly strange as I had been watching videos the day before (Friday) with no issues. Simultaneously, I am having issues playing video through Firefox on both Youtube and Hulu. In these cases the player will go black or the image will freeze but the audio continues. Reloading the page doesn't always help and I have to restart Firefox. The only video related changes I have made recently are updating to the newest Nvidia drivers (through the gforce experience) and a new version of EVGA precision X. However, both of the upgrades were done several days ago. I only noticed VLC issue yesterday. I believe the Youtube issue may have been around for a few days (can't remember exactly). Any assistance would be much appreciated as I can't seem to find anything similar on google.
