I have a hot spot and want to install an antenna to improve internet reception. Our cell phone signal in this location is decent but not the best.

The application is a hunting cabin in a somewhat remote location and something permanent is fine. I've read numerous articles and really can't find the same question with clear answers. I've read about boosters, repeaters and antennas and really don't know which one to use.

I'm not trying to extend the range from the hot spot to a location such as a remote room of the house, nor am I trying to send or receive a WiFi signal from a long distance from the router. I would like to mount a high-end antenna on the roof or somewhere in that area to increase the reception into the hot spot from the provider.

We use Verizon Mi-FI

Thanks,

Why not ask Verizon support? You may need to know where the closest tower is located to get a directional antenna pointed at it.
