I recently bought a 144hz monitor and am loving it with csgo!!
I am currently running it capped at 180fps, 144hz and noticing some screen tearing, nothing too bad, but i'm just wondering if there is an optimal fps i should be aiming for at this refresh rate.
Also, can I just v-sync it to 144hz? Or will there be too much lag?

60's enough. 25 FPS is the minimum for most. 15's the EXTREME BARE minimum FPS to just have enough that you don't really see any major chops (that's my word, choose not to take it since I'm talking about Intel HD Graphics 3000).

Hahaha, yeah no, thanks but this doesn't really help xD
60fps is borderline unplayable for me now after upgrading to 144hz hehe

Usually anything above 70fps is out of standard human perception, but I've heard about people with abilities to see up to 90 or 100 fps at most. 60fps is the standard because that's the peak of where you'll notice difference, but when recording at higher fps, you can slow down and stretch frames with less chopping. Also v-sync is fine, it just caps the fps to match your hz
