for 1080p gaming are these more than enough and it's so much better than an amd build for the same price as your build, although mine doesn't have the r9 280 crossfire. If you want to use a samsung ssd is that up to you.The 2x2tb hdd's are cheaper and give the same storage.
For a little bit more is there this cooler,

Well, just look at it and look at some reviews about the components i changed.Choices are up to you.;)
And don't get me wrong, your own build isn't that bad,it a good build, but things can be changed for the better->hdd's/psu/ssd/psu/ram (2x8gb will be better). These changes would give you this,

I would go for intel, but it's up to you.

Hi there!

Generally speaking this is a solid build, but I would recommend you to get a more powerful power supply, because the PSU is most efficient when loaded at about 70-80% of their max labeled capacity. So in this case I think that 850W would suit better if you're not planning to overclock.

Also, are you going to set the WD Blue drives in RAID? Because they're very good drives but were designed mostly for everyday computing purposes. For a RAID – I would suggest you to check the WD Reds, which were specifically designed for RAID environment. They have RAID specific built-in features (like TLER – helps the drive recover faster in case of read/write error and the drive doesn’t drop off the RAID) that the other hard drives don’t have.

Lastly, the memory sticks you've chosen are indeed pretty nice ones, but I personally would get 2x8GB for two reasons - because this motherboard doesn't support quad channel and so I can have a free slots for future upgrades, although 16GB of RAM is plenty for most games and programs now.

Hope this helps.

Cheers! :)
