for what platform and socket?

Asus tends to be the best but the most expensive

ASRock tends to be the best value for money

Gigabyte tends to give quality products for reasonable prices

MSI tend to also give quality products for reasonable prices. With their AMD socket motherboards, a handful tend to be a letdown (especially 970 based ones).

Overall, Asus is arguably the best but for me, I prefer and always have gone for Gigabyte Boards. They offer great products with good prices, Hence the reason I bought my Gigabyte X79-UP4. Compared to other counterparts, there wasn't much of a match at all. It's excellent multiple graphics card support and overclocking capability was well in front.

If you are strictly speaking of quality/ features then I would say.

Asus>gigabyte=MSI>Asrock

But all those companies are good really.

Asus is more expensive but is typically the best for quality and features.

Gigabyte and MSI are pretty much the same good middle of the road choices. A lot of people don't like MSI because in the past they had some quality problems but have fixed that I later models of boards.

Asrock are typically the best budget boards, they are good enough for overclocking but are usually light on features.

Depends on what socket and whether you're looking at low end, mid or high end build and motherboard.
