After reading this PLEASE look at the image I posted
I'm sorry making these threads but I'm really confused on if this will work or not.
I have this wireless router/VDSL modem combo provided by my ISP. I hate the features of it and I want a bit more range. So I want to hook up a new wireless router into it and basically use the existing old modem/router combo as just a modem for the new router I want to get.
Here is my crappy diagram I made explaining this. PLEASE look at this. Will this work?

If you can set the Comtrend to Bridge mode, then yes.

If not, then you can disable the WiFi on the Comtrend, DHCP on the new one, and connect LAN ports on each.

Where do you think a bridge mode would be located? And If I can use either one of these solutions will I be able to access the default gateway of the new wireless router?

PPPoE bridge, not WLAN bridge.

In the second one, the new router is just used as a Wireless Access Point (WAP), not a router. The old one acts as the router. Unless you have problems with speeds over ethernet, this should cause no degradation in performance.
