Hey guys, I'll be building a new PC soon, and I'm kinda confused between these two cards. The R9 270x is almost $70 cheaper than the GTX760 in my country. So I was wondering if the extra money is worth it. I'll be pairing it with an AMD FX8320 with 8GB RAM. And PhysX is only there in a few games, and none of them are of my type, except the Batman: Arkham series. I'll be using this for mainly gaming and a few video editing. If I were to go with GTX760 then I'll have to get an AMD FX6300, since my budget is really tight.

So, the options are,
AMD FX8320 + R9 270X or,
AMD FX6300 + GTX760

I really need a future proof rig, I won't be doing major upgrades for at least 3-5 years.

Thanks! :)

The GTX 760 is about 10-15% better, however this is not worth the extra $70. It would be better for you to just go for the 270x and overclock it...

The 2 cards are pretty close and is really not worth the extra cash you'd pay for with the 760. That being said, the 760 is better in some games and the 270x is better with higher res.

It's a pretty close call, but you should go with the 270x, that card paired with the 8320 is like 2 beasts that births a baby.....which is your rig. You wouldn't need to oc
