Best Audio-Technica headphone for gaming?

I can't decide which one of these headphone should I get : ADG1 (300$), AD900x (170$), AD1000x (320$) and AD2000x (470$)
Does upgrading from 900x to 1000x make any difference?
Does the angled driver vs a non angled driver make any difference?
Is it worth the cost getting a 2000x instead of a 1000x?

I always like to recommend Sennheiser. If you're looking for a headset and not headphones, they have the PC350 (G4ME ZERO) and the PC360 (G4ME ONE). I personally have the PC360 and they sound great. It is my understanding that they are based off of either the HD 595 or 598, both of which are highly regarded headphones.

I haven't used the Audio Technica headsets, however I have heard good things about them.

For either of these options, I would definitely invest in a sound card or DAC. Even something relatively cheap like an ASUS Xonar DG(X) should work fine. That's what I have driving my PC360's and the headphone amp has helped them tremendously.

If you're looking for actual quality sound, don't invest in a Logitech, Corsair, etc...

I mentioned ADG1 and Ad 900x because they're have very good directional accuracy, people actually buy AD series for gaming even though it's a audiophile grade headset, obviously for a reason :p. What I'm saying is if you really prefer Logitech and Corsair tell me why and convince me to buy them.

I'm ganna edit the thread a little bit... Sennheiser is very good and in fact I own one, but I still liked the Audio-Technica a bit more and want to upgrade my ath-ad700.
And about the sound card, I'm planning on getting a Phoebus or a STX II 7.1, any thoughts on that?

As for the Audio Technica headsets, it is my understanding that the ADG1 is essentially just an AD700 with a mic (if memory serves me well).

Of the two, although they may very well be overkill for headphones of this caliber, I like the Essence STX II because it has some 1/4" connectors and I have several things that I could use 1/4" for. It also has a more powerful headphone amp should you need it.

The Phoebus is nice as far as connectors go if you're only using this for a headset with 1/8" connectors and PC speakers. You wouldn't need to have any adapters cluttering up the place.

I still don't feel like I'm qualified to choose between the two, as I haven't used either of them. I'm sure someone here has used at least one of these and they would more likely have more valid input than I do about these sound cards.

I'm not saying that Audio-Technica headsets or bad or anything,but the cheapest you want is $190,and you can get 2 or 3 headsets of pretty much the same quality and comfort and everything.
Corsair Vengeance 2100 and 1500 V2 and Logitech G35,G430 and G930 are the ones I like the best.
AGAIN,you can get the ADG1 or the 1000X,but why spend $300 on a headsets? You can build the most basic computer for a guy that's using Facebook and Youtube for that money. ;)

He already owns the AD 700 which is worlds better than any "gaming" headsets in the same price range.

Are you a basshead by any chance?

I'm looking towards getting a pair of Beyerdynamic DT 770 PROs if I can sell my consoles and a few computer parts. They have plenty of bass which is exactly what I'm looking for and are supposed to have a wide soundstage, even though they are closed back so it should be good for gaming as well.

I owned the ATH M50s for a few months before I had an offer made to trade them for a 7950. They were solidly built, I doubt they would break unless you were trying to break them ;).

Really nice pair of headphones for the price. It had a small sound stage so it wasn't the best for gaming , but it did work.

Those look great for gaming if you want a closed back pair.

Where are you finding them for $165? The cheapest I could find them was for $180 on amazon.

Oh there are some sellers from amazon who sell them a bit cheaper. :p they're new btw not ganna buy used ones again.
