Hi, I've been noticing that everyone recommended getting the HERO model of ASUS and that full ATX mobo's are better.
Yet, the GENE is Micro ATX and costs more.
I wanted to know which one of them is better and why?
I need it for gaming of course.

Please DO NOT say that I shouldn't get both because of the new X99 or anything like that. Thank you.

Are you planning to do extreme OCing?
Are you planning to do Quad or 4-way SLI/Crossfire?

Not planning on OC currently. And if I do, not too much of OC.
About the GPU I don't know what it means :(

Crossfire means have 2 or more(up to 4) AMD GPUs,while SLI means have 2 or more(up to 4) nVidia GPUs.
There is Two-way SLI/XFire,Three-Way SLI/XFire and Four-way SLI/XFire as well as Quad SLI/XFire.

Now,there is a difference between Quad Crossfire/SLI and 4-way CF/SLI.
Quad XFire/SLI means have two graphics cards that have two GPUs in them.Those are the AMD R9 295x2,GTX 690,GTX Titan Z etc. 4 way XFire/SLI means have 4 graphics cards with a single GPU in them.There are many more graphics cards of this kind,like the GTX 980,GTX 970,GTX 780 Ti,GTX 780,GTX 770,GTX 760,GTX 750 Ti,AMD R9 290X,R9 290,R9 285,R9 280X,R9 280,R9 270X,R9 270,R7 265,R7 260X,HD 7970,HD7950,HD 7870,so on and so on.

The more the merrier they say,but that's not always the case. For example,a GTX 980 or 780 Ti are more powerful than the Titan or Titan Black, which is a $1000+ card, while both the 980 and the 780 Ti cost about +- $550.BUT a 780 Ti in SLI (when you say SLI or Crossfire only, that refers to 2-way SLI,or you can say 2xGTX 780 Ti) or GTX 980 in SLI will crush any single GPU.They may not match the R9 295x2,but it's almost as powerful and it costs a LOT less.

I can talk about this all day, there's so much to talk about this, but this is the most basic thing that you should know. :)

You can't use a GTX 780 Ti and two other GPUs.
You can only use same GPUs,so 2x/3x/4x GTX 980,2x/3x/4x GTX 780,2x/3x/4x R9 290 and so on.
You cannot use different GPUs,like a GTX 780 Ti and a GTX 680 or R9 290 and R9 280X.

Ok then let's say I wanna put x2 780 ti.
Which mobo should I take then?

Hero indeed.
But 2xGTX 980 will outperform 2xGTX 780 Ti,in performance,as well as in noise,temps and power consumption.
