Hello lads, i was going to buy a GTX 980 EVGA superoverclocked from this link http://www.cplonline.com.au/evga-geforce-gtx-970-4g-sup...
due to its high boost and core clock but i was told not to get it by a member on this site because it has issues.

Link to where you were told it?

AFAIK there's nothing particularly wrong, but I haven't had a good look.

Only the ACX 2.0 and ACX coolers seem to have the issue. Basically they recycled an old design and it doesn't quite line up with the GPU position so that one of the heatpipes isn't actually on the GPU.

The 980 References, both stock and superclock, do not have this issue.

(Also, I installed that exact one on Saturday, works amazingly)
