In Canada the Gtx 980 retails for $620-650 for stock and the Gtx 780 ti sells for $550 with borderlands pre-sequel. Since the Gtx 780 ti is now discontinued should I still go with it since I probably wont to be able to sli in in the future. OR should I go with the future proof gtx 980 and sli it later down the road.

I would go with the 980 when its all said and done. I do like the 970 SLI thought but there isnt really a need. Just get the 980 and you'll be good for a while

The either will be plenty for 1080P gaming. But I'd go with the 980 as it draws less power and will be easier to cool. If you go with the 780Ti, there's no upgrade path in the future except used cards.

Keep your 660Ti for a dedicated PhysX GPU. (I run a GTX690 w/GTX460 dedicated PhysX gains 4--5 FPS over just the GTX690)
