Hi, I have an i7 920 stock speeds, intel dx58so mobo, 3 gb ddr3, corsair vs 650 psu..recently my 3 year old xfx 9800 gtx+ started to give artifacts and so i got a zotac 640 gt running in its place now. But i am wondering, can i run both the video cards at the same time keeping 640 gt the primary card and the 9800 gtx+ for physx or may be to connect a 2nd monitor ? The artifacts some times appear and sometimes doesn't also it goes away with reboot.

Will my system get hanged or damaged if the xfx card is put in together with the zotac one ?

Solution
Hello,

Adding 2 cards to your system shouldn't have any negative affects on your system. Considering they are both Nvidia, it should be even easier for them to co-exist. However, if the XFX card is artifacting and causing crashing, it could have harmful damage on your system over time. You may want to contact us at xfxsupport.com to determine if the card is still under warranty. Thank you
