Q8200 CPU Upgrade

Was looking to upgrade a HP Pavilion p6140f cpu from Q8200 to QX9770. The chipset on the motherboard's a Intel G33 Express. Would they be compatible despite different bus speeds?

The Intel G33 Express chipset only support processors with up to 1333Mhz Front Side Bus. The QX9770 has a Front Side Bus of 1600MHz, so the two are not compatible.

So the Extreme QX9650 should work since it's 1333Mhz FSB? Or should I just go with the regular Q9650. Or is there any difference?

You should probably check the specs of your system: HP Pavilion p6140f. It appears the Q9xxx series would work. No idea about the QX9xxx series.
