Today i was installing ubuntu on my second hard drive. it worked fine and everything. then i discovered, that when i was in windows, it wont show the HDD at all, and it was because it wasnt in any volume.. wierd enough. i tried to fix it with just give it some volume, but then my windows cracked totally. i tried to restart my computer but it just frooze on the motherboard (splash) screen. i couldn't figure what was the issue. after restarting BIOS and taking the battery out ect. i tried to take out the HDD SATA and restarted it, it worked fine not issues at all. now i just got my SSD in and ofc. thats fine.. but i need more than 250 gb storage. i cant figure out how to fix the HDD though. any help from this forum?

Thanks.

It sounds like when you installed Ubuntu you gave it the entire drive, so it would not appear in Windows as it is not a compatible drive format. You should partition the HDD before install and only install Ubuntu to the partition that is some fraction of the total drive space that you want it to use.

I expect that your Ubuntu install altered your bootloader, which you will need to repair before you can run Windows normally with the HDD attached.
