As said, I have a single device that clearly doesn't work like the others wirelessly. It's a Win 7 laptop that I have reloaded a couple times. That seemed to work at first but it's so hard to tell because the problem is intermittent. Everything else works fine - phones, other laptops, etc.

It also works fine with connecting with a wired connection. I get 60mb speeds on 60 service. The strange thing is that it doesn't lose connection but often moves so slow that it's completely unusable. Almost always upon starting up the computer it's in super slow mode. Sometimes I leave and come back and it's working more like normal. Other times it may still be stuck on slow. I can't understand what the problem might be.

Hi,

You probably have a defective wireless device on the laptop, you can buy a usb wireless card for about 30-40 $

Turns out that wasn't the right answer...thought it would be. When I connect with my phone as a hotspot, it begins working instantly. Still confused.

Especially strange since I reviewed the wireless settings and can't see a single difference anywhere...?

So anyone guessing why my computer seems to initially hook up at a very slow speed and then speeds up remarkably a couple to many minutes later?
