Noticed for a while i was getting 6gb (3.99 usable) of memory ram (yes i do have 64 bit and updated chipset n bios) so i looked around and found majority of people having this issue was because of bent pins in motherboard, making it miss some cpu connectivity i guess...so opened it up to check, and found 3 pins that were pseudo broken so yeah cant fix that anymore.

My question though is if i add 2 more ram gb will i end up 8gb ( 5.99 usable)? , i tested with 2 sticks and it ended up 4gb (1.99 usable) so if it goes that way without some memory sticks will it work if i add more?

i just really need at least 2gb asap and this ram is cheap i think , so before i upgrade motherboard will adding more ram work?

my mobo and memory type :

You need to fix the actual problem first. Completely unknown if adding 2 more GB of RAM will actually raise it from 5.99 to 5.99.

Fix the problem (bent pins).

"Fix" in this case = replace.
