Building my first gaming pc,is this a good setup?

Solution

Australia makes a big difference in prices (I currently live in Sydney).
I modified your build a bit - you were overpaying for some parts, and I upgraded you graphics card a lot. Also, the PSU and optical drive were not sold in Australia - I changed them so you could now purchase them.

Your build was good for a first time, but could be improved in some parts. The motherboard is an older chip set, so it wouldn't allow for much future expansion. Intel's latest motherboard chip set (for non-servers) is the Z97.
You graphics card would be alright, but for $1000, you could fit in a much better version. NVIDIA just released the GTX 970 and the GTX 980. These cards use up less power, produce less heat, and give great performance.
Again the CPU would have been alright, but for $1000, you could get a much better one.
As for CPU coolers, you NEEEEEEED one for gaming. If you don't have a CPU cooler, the CPU could get too hot, shut down, and you could risk damaging it. The Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO is a great cooler for only around $30.
The RAM you chose was good, and Corsair is a fantastic brand, but the price was insane. You had 8GB of RAM running at 1600MHz for $110. You could get faster (1866MHz) RAM, also 8GB, for $80.
The wireless adapter you chose was fine, but a PCI-E adapter works better and faster.

Here is what I put together, for the same price as yours:

This build should run BF4 at a steady 50-60FPS on a 1080p screen.

Hope this helps!
