If its Corsair CS/ CX/ VS/ builder series, then sadly those are very poor PSUs which use cheap capacitors which melt easily on high loads, resulting in failure and sometimes even damage to components. What exact Model is it?
HDDs don't stress the PSU.

I'd get a new PSU, that one is really poor quality as explained.
