Heya thank you for taking the time to help out.

I've been having some odd performance issues with Windows 8 on my laptop. Everything seems to run very slowly, even opening a new tab on Google chrome, it will load for like 5 minutes, even though my internet is fine - as I'm on Skype to friends etc. When I try to load games, they will take forever, sometimes not even loading at all, although they appear in background processes. Also, apps will often stop responding for long periods of time, and this also happens to my desktop itself, sometimes with it crashing.

I've already scanned for malware etc using HerdProtect, and there was some stuff on there that i removed.

I don't really know what else to add to help you guys, but if you need anything i'll try to get back to you as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance,

-Tom

I would say it is either that you have too many background processes or that your hard disk may have slow read speeds. It could also be due to age. I don't think this is due to hardware as they are pretty good.
