We have a Windows 2000 advanced server cluster for domain controller and I only change my password in console (not by terminal service). My user is a domain administrator and member of domain users, one local group and member of administrators built in group. When I log in to the domain I leave the active directory users console opened in one organizational unit (OU) and when after period of time (15-20 days after) I log in again,
I find when I click active directory users console, opened in another organizational unit (OU) or in the root. Until I know it must be opened in the last OU I left (no?)
but my doubt is:

Is the key that store tha last state of active directory users console for machine or for user profile? I mean, if it is for machine (HKLM) then the situation would be normal because there are other administrators that log in and can change this state opening or closing OUs from the console by terminal service or by console or perhaps certain processes can reset the state like complete or differential copies but in other case (HKCU) I have to think that someone is changing or using my profile (with some type of method like scripts).
