i have a R9 290X and the display ports are
2x Native Dual-link DVI-D
1x Native HDMI
1x Native DisplayPort

i use hdmi but it does not fit my monitor screen it has like black edges i used to use vga on my old GPU and just Auto adjust my monitor but it does not work on hdmi, iv tried gpu scaling and it works on deskop but resets when i go on to a game :(

just wondering what cable i could use without all this muffle?

my monitor has VGA DVI-D in AND HDMI
monitor model is acer G245HQ

thanks for your time

Usually just going into CCC/My digital flat panels/scaling options and moving the slider left, then right back to 0%, and clicking 'apply' will fix that. Not working for you?

Odd. But the best remedy to eliminate the under scan issue is to go with a DVI hookup instead. I have that same issue with many HDMI and AMD cards, but it always is fixable with the CCC method above. I have never had that issue when using DVI. So I usually just use DVI whenever possible when I build with AMD cards.
