My computer keeps crashing when i play games

Hi guys, i have a really old pc, but i play alot of videogames and I didnt have any problems, but some time later, my pc started crashing every time I played any game. I changed to windows 8.1 and i formated everything, and i still have this problem, help ;-;

well it actually dosent crashes, it just frezzes, you can still see something on the screen, but, my friend told me that when this happens, i disconnect, its like if i turned off my pc.

mmm maybe something in starup or running in the background

It is most likely that you have too many background processes. Or the components are worn out and need to be switched out.

Thanks for your help guys, but what is actually happening is that my videocard is in bad conditions, i cant play 3d games because of this, right now im getting some errors on my screen and they arent from windows, they are like little red and blue bars, this also happened to me on a video, and made my pc crash, anyways, thanks for your help!
