Hi! I recently got my hands on a second monitor and have been trying to set up dual screens to no avail. Spec wise I've got a gtx 770 - one monitor is plugged in to the GPU's DVI-D connection and I've connected the new monitor to the mobo's VGA connection.

What's weird is that it seems to be recognising a secondary display in my 'Screen Resolution' tab, but the display itself doesn't respond to Digital or Analog inputs.

I'd really appreciate any help with the problem, as I may be stretching to 3 monitors so would ideally like to utilise the mobo's available port!

Thanks for the help and let me know if you need any more information,

Ben

Hi Paul, cheers for the reply! So I ventured into my BIOS and turned on the iGPU option but it hasn't changed anything! What's weird is that when I hooked up a previous second monitor via DVI also to my GPU it worked fine, so as you said there's definitely an issue with using both onboard and the GPU connections. Any other ideas?

Normally if this is enabled both should work. Its when its disabled it may or wont bring anything up on the card you installed.

Does the card you installed need power / have power connectors on it? If its on in the BIOS now shut it off then turn it back on.. See what happens

Hey Paul, so I managed to find the solution - after doing what you said regarding the iGPU multi-monitor Windows detected the change and tried to download the appropriate adapters but failed. When I tried again it all worked, so thanks!
