I am building my computer currently and I was looking into the 7970 GHz Edition, but I heard it's loud, about 65 DbB (same noise as a normal conversation) I don't want my computer that loud. The GTX 980 just came out a few weeks and it is runs at about 45-47 DbB (a little louder than a whisper in a library) I like that number and it's not too loud, BUT I want to know if the prices are the same and performance, is it better or equal? I was getting mixed reactions. Thank you! :)

The 980 is about 50% faster than the 7970 Ghz

Here's the noise ,....almost 4 times as loud

So I should buy the GTX 980? Also 750W would be fine for running it?

NVidia says so

http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2311121/power-su...

The Guru3D recommendation included a LGA 2011 which draws 100 watts extra. The 780s draw 100 watts each more power and in my ystem they are overclocked 26% along with a 4.6 CPU OC and the system pulls 745 watts from the wall under Furmark.... that's 670 watts PSU output.
