Hello. I just installed the new Catalyst 14.9 update for my cards. The issue is that after around 5 minutes or so of Battlefield 3/4 or any 3D game, I freeze, get a blue screen, or a grey screen. I have to restart my PC. I tried uninstalling Catalyst 14.9 COMPLETELY, and did. Then I got BSODs when installing 14.4. I then still had the Catalyst thing still there in Programs and settings. No matter what, it wouldn't disappear. I tried a few more times and finally got 14.4 to install. I do have 14.4 now again, but the freezing persists. I am selling my cards right now and will soon buy a GTX 970, but until then, I need a solution. Thanks.

One is ACPI.sys the other is the video driver atikmdag.sys.

Both have the same stop error 0x0000003b

It's possible bwcW8x64.sys is causing a crash. Your killer network drivers. Does it crash going to sleep or waking up?

I would uninstall this Intel(R) Extreme Tuning Utility Performance Tuning this maybe causing the acpi.sys crash

It crashes while gaming. I will uninstall XTU.

Nope. Freezes, but not BSOD, like before.

Could be the card. Is this Win7 or 8? How much ram is in it?? Could be something in startup thats making it freeze. What firewall if its not windows is installed

A stick of ram maybe faulty. I would test it with memtest

Wait a second... I just played without AMD Gaming Evolved (use it for raptr recording) and no crash. I think I found it. How would I make Raptr usable?
Btw my specs are in my signature. The RAM is good, I OCed it and have stress tested for many hours.

Gonna keep an eye on this thread. I installed 14.9 and got an instant blue screen before the install finished. Tried to install again after recovering and it just failed the install. Reinstalled 14.4 for now and everything is fine.

Twin 7970Ghz in Crossfire. No idea why 14.9 dies for me.

I kind of need to, it is the only program I can record with without dropping too many frames.
