call of duty black ops help

is there a possibility that my gpu isnt being detected by call of duty black ops? i've been trying for days to fix this game and when i launch it it just doesnt want to run it seems. i get a black screen for a long while... please help :(

And i figured out that it has nothing to do with my graphics card and that the issue is with steam somehow, i ran it once in offline mode, it worked, i would run it in online mode, and the game freezes when the LEFT MOUSE skip button pops up in the startup sequence, i verified game cache numerous times alread, copied the config mp and renamed it config, all the standard fixes i could think of, but i also have this issue with call of duty modern warfare 3, freezes during startup sequence when steam is online. and do i need steam to connect to multiplayer with these games? please halp!!!

ok. Ive had these issues before

try running a virus scan and a malware scan.

also, when I had this issue updating my bios fixed it... for some reason

try getting on msi and getting a bios update

ive looked for bios updates before, this board is so uncommon, i dont think there is a bios update availible for this board. ill start looking

yea, no updates for this old board could be found. ill give that antivirus scans a try with my avast virus database.

So i ran a full system scan via avast, and i got some threats found, managed to clean my system up, no change, black ops 1 still only works in offline mode and freezes on startup sequence in online mode on steam, i havent payed much attention to mw3 but i know im having similar issues with that game aswell. halpppp :(

sorry for late reply. But I really do think it is bios. Had same problem with Xcom and saints row 3. I can try to help you find the driver for it. Is your pc a custom build or a prebuilt. If prebuilt can you give me the manufacturer and the model number(should be on case somewhere). Thanks

My pc's name is an HP P7-1430 with the gpu i mentioned smacked into it.
