I just purchased an Asus z97-a motherboard and i cant seen to figure out how to install windows onto it. I put the install disk into the drive (i have tried flash boot drives aswell) it loads the disk and windows prepares the files and the windows icon appears, and then my computer shuts off and reboots the process indefinitely. im using a 750w power supply and thought that might be the reason. any ideas? im at a complete loss.

Solution
Do you have an ISO?? If you do I would see if rufus works. http://rufus.akeo.ie/

Make sure the flash derive is the drive. Select GPT for UEFI / NTFS

I would select this if this supports UEFI. Then add the ISO wait for it to finish

i have tried booting off the flash drive and the disk and yes the SSD is connected. would an SSD cause this problem?

Windows 7 DVDTool.exe microsoft had its name on it so i figured it would work. plus reviews said it works prefect. the USB starts the reboots just like the disk does.

yes only the ssd and dvdr are connected. i tried booting the usb again but its starting the reboots now without even trying windows. it lights up the VGA led on start up and 1 second later reboots.
