Hi. My Graphics card died and I need a quick replacement that can last me until Thanksgiving to buy a new one.

I had a 6850 but it died and now I'm just going to get a 7770. I found a refurbished one and a weird dell one. Which one should I get? The Dell one says new and 2 gb, but why is it cheaper/about same price?

Dell: http://www.ebay.com/itm/DELL-AMD-RADEON-HD-7770-2GB-GRAPHICS-CARD-PCIe-x16-HDMI-DISPLAY-PORT-DX5MJ-/201178238521?pt=PCC_Video_TV_Cards&hash=item2ed7284e39

Thanks.

Yep it should work fine if it could power a 6850, if you want the most power efficient budget cards then those would be the GTX 750/Ti which would cost a bit more.

Otherwise the R7 260 should run fine since it uses less power than the older 6850.

Oo I forgot about that card, that's a very good value for $72 after MIR.

It's a little weaker than the 260x, but it's a nice performance boost over the 6850 and should hold you out longer to save up for a bigger upgrade down the line.

Thanks. Do you guys know something even cheaper? My computer is pretty old and I wanted to get a new one on Thanksgiving. I mostly just play Smite and League of Legends right now so don't need intense graphical power.

If you go any cheaper then you'll be looking into a downgrade, it should be fine for those games though. Something like this GTX 650 should be good for $65 (looks like it's on half price right now at Best Buy).

Bit of a tight situation you're in but you could just get a powerful GPU right now and use it when you get a new build during Thanksgiving if you have enough funds right now.

Thanks for the help. I think I will get the R7 260. 460w psu can handle it right? (It's a stock one from my computer but it worked with the 6850)

Or should I get a diff card for 460w?

Thanks a lot. I just purchased the R7 260. Wouldn't have found out about it myself (never heard of that card before) :)
Supposedly comes with some free games as well lol.
Thanks again, hoping it works well.

(Does OC in the name mean it's overclocked? Can I remove the overclock?)
