Whats your Operating system? windows xp or 7? Sounds like your using a 32 bit version, If so you need 64 bit OS.
-Press start button
-Right click on My computer or (Computer)
-Click Properties
-System info should tell you if its 64 bit or 32 bit

If that doesn't work download Ccleaner and look at the top header for your system specs. It will also tell you your OS.

Not trying to be an ass, you might have already done this but.... just need to establish some bases first.

However, If you are running a 64 OS and its still saying that, you need to look into flashing your bios to a newer version. Also boot into your bios and see what its registering there for total installed ram.

Then it sounds like you are using 32bit software.

Try the 8GB stick in slot 1 and the 2 4GB sticks in slots 3-4, raise DRAM voltage + 0.075 and raise CPU/NB voltage to 1.3
