How many watts is enough for my new Graphics Card?

Hi,

After the help from MeteorsRaining(Thanks BTW), I have decided on a GTX 970 as my new graphics card. However I'm not entirely sure if my PSU will be enough.

I'm getting a new case as well because of the card, because my Sonata III can only barely fit a 9inch card, so getting a PSU wouldn't really be a problem as my current one came with the Sonata and is already quite old. The case I am getting is a S340.

These are my specs.
This is my current system:
GPU - GTX560Ti
Fans - Hyper212 Evo and Noctua NF-F12.
Motherboard - Asrock Z77 Extreme4.
CPU - i5 3570k
Case - Sonata III w/ a 500W Antec EarthWatts PSU.

TLDR - How many watts would be good in a PSU in order for my build? This is also considering maybe a few component upgrades here and there.

Oh and, if you have thoughts on a recommended PSU under 100, and also maybe another choice for a case under 70, please do suggest.

Solution
Corsair outsources, some series built by Seasonic.
Antec outsources, HCGm built by Seasonic.
Evga outsources, the G2 series is excellent, tier1 quality.

My recommendations: Antec 620m HCG, Seasonic M12-II 620w, XFX 550-650w, Corsair HX or TXv2 650w

$80.00 620watts http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151095

you wanna go sli for what ever reason or add a bunch of stuff

$100 750 Watts http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817153198 (been using the same power supply, older version since 2007)

my bad, 2 hdd, 1 ssd, 2x4gb, and 1 dvd rom. 2 fans including cpu cooler and case fan.

newegg isn't avaliable to me as I live in Australia.

I've looked at your choices however I'm leaning towards this one.

However I'm thinking it might be a bit overkill at 750w, I guess it would be worth it, using it for at least 3 years.

Evga is good but most cases they dont make their own psu but rather outsource them to other co. No doubt quality is high but with the above mentionedbrands they makentheir own psu and ensure performnace per wattage

I was planning to get the G2 however caj suggested brands like Seasonic due to them having more quality.

I was thinking of the Seasonic M12-II, however not 620w because I'd like to use the PSU for a couple of years and still have headspace when I SLI or overclock. There are also other variations of the M12-ii with some being bronze and gold, is there a major difference between them?

What they mean by bronze and gold is a efficiency rating of at least 80% (80+) at 20/50/100% load on psu. The Seasonic M12-II bronze series come in very high, almost at Silver ratings, but both bronze and gold are broad categories, silver being very narrow, so silver rated is about a waste of time. You are only looking at a 2%-3% efficiency difference, and a slightly better 'ripple' between bronze and gold, so unless you are looking to seriously OC both cpu and gpu and ram, then bronze is plenty, much better btw than straight 80+.

The Evga G2 series are probably the best units on the market for the price and quality. They are made by SuperFlower, a very well known psu manufacturer, and not only will run with the big boys like Seasonic and Delta, but will actually outperform, out-quality, most. The G2 series really is an excellent psu. Evga also has about the best warranty and service department there is, IF anything should happen, so have absolutely no worries there either. You really, really can't go wrong with an Evga G2.
