I found a website that's selling hacks for various games. How can I report this site to be taken down? One of my favorite games, Minimum, is now loaded with hackers.

A quick answer would be appreciated. Thanks!

There isn't much you can do. Providing information on how to do it is not, I believe, illegal. Only using that info.

I couldn't say what you'd need to do, but I would imagine it depends on which jurisdiction the website is owned, hosted, and registered in. They are not necessarily the same.

Let me clarify. This isn't "Providing information on how to do it." These people have hacked various games and are selling the hacks they make.

You could report it to the people who make minimum, i know ea like to have websites selling/providing scripts reported to them. I am pretty sure what they are doing is not illegal although they are profiting so it could be

They're already aware of it. However, this isn't just Minimum. I found their google+ page, where they were also advertising hacks for Insurgency, Counter-Strike, Zombies Monsters Robots, APB Reloaded, Killing Floor... you get the point.

Its probably unfair to blame one site for all the scripters in minimum. If its been up for a long time there is probably nothing you can do to help apart from reporting the site to the software developer. I feel your pain, i used to love combat arms but that is now riddled with scripters

It's unlikely you can do anything about the web site. About all you can do is check the Terms of Service of each game you play. Check to see if it prohibits the use of modified game code. If so, then you can report those who appear to be using these hack to the various game moderators/tech support. It's up to the game's tech support/moderators to deal with these hackers.

I mean, it is illegal, right? Valve can ban people entirely from every one of their games for that kind of tampering-- wouldn't they have gotten sued by now or something if they weren't allowed?

It's [generally] not illegal, it's purely a civil matter. Gamers who use cheats and hacks are usually in violation of the terms of service that accompany the game, which usually results in their service being revoked (banned). The author's of the cheats are usually careful to avoid including any copyrighted material in the cheat itself which absolves them of copyright infringement claims.
