Hello,
currently i am upgrading my laptop (i7-4702mq, Intel HM86 chipset)
i want to add ram.

Currently i have 2x4gb PC3 - 12800

So my question - can i add another 2x4gb (or 1x8gb) but 14900 (keeping old ones)? And how they will work together? Or all ram must be same 12800 or 14900?

At a moment i am using almost all 8gb and planing to add 840evo drive and i guess to use RAPID function with it ill need more RAM.
Thank you for your time

I've only ever had bad experiences with different types of RAM in laptops. It's usually best to get a memory kit with all matching RAM to upgrade laptop memory.

If (and it's a big if) the memory will work together, it will operate at the lowest speed of either of the two sticks and in singe-channel mode. But that should not be a big problem.
