How to do a clean re-installation of Windows 8 on my SSD

Hi everyone, i have a Laptop that is preinstalled with Windows 8 on my Hdd. I am trying to clean install my Windows 8 on my SSD. Can i change that over from my hdd to my ssd? If so how. I'm not going to use cloning as there's a problem when i clone my os over to my ssd.

If you have the DVD put it in, go into the BIOS set it as the bootdisk. The save settings. Press a key when it says to

I don't have a dvd, but I have a thumbprint. However, when I used my thumb drive to try and install Windows 8, they asked my for my product key which I used back the one on my laptop, however it couldn't work
