My CPU Coolermaster fan is beginning to die and it takes a miracle to make it work everytime I launch PC so when I got upset over that I decided to being a small normal household fan to be a temporary alternative because I don't have much time to take the fan to repair it

So I am Asking if this is a safe solution or there is some risk in CPU Safety ?

Temperature wise : At Idle the processor is at 29C and at heavy gaming (Playing Tomb Raider 2013) it was max at 43C So I think temperature wise it is the same as coolermaster

My Processor is : AMD Phenom X6 1045t 2.7 Ghz

So can anyone help me in that issue ?

Hi Chill Out -

I think you should be fine with this setup from a cooling perspective. I'm assuming that you've taken off one side of your case and you have the small fan blowing room temp air into the open case?

As long as your temps stay ok you'll be ok.

With the setup I described above, you have some other risks, namely of things falling into the the PC while it's running. This could be a complete disaster. How long you want to live with this depends upon your tolerance for risk.

I'm happy to defer to anyone else who has better knowledge and knows of specific electrical concerns to doing this.
