Hey guys, planning to make my next new PC build and been out of info about PCs for the last 2 years.

It will be a 100% gaming PC.

whats the best cpu socket to use, that has lots of cpus and Mobos available to it and current .

I was with 1155

Thanks!

Solution

just overkill
Get a better GPU with 1500+ stream processors instead

Socket 1150 will last long long , especially for one video card sollutions , cus they support x16 PCI-E gen 3.0 . The advantage of the 2011-3 is the support of more PCI-E lanes and it helps mainly for faster SLI and Crossfire - i mean a transition from x8/x8 to x16/x16 mode
