All back ups have the name File1 File2 etc names and I have no idea what is in them.
I have to click through about 6 times and then am asked which program I want to open them with. How can I possibly know?
The laptop they came from has died, so it is on a new one, so can't determine what they might be.
Also, says N360_BACK UP

Solution
If the backups were created using Seagate's backup software, they can only be accessed using that same software because they are created using proprietary compression which means the files can't be accessed like ordinary manual copy/paste backups.

Because it can catch you out and stop you dead in your tracks, I never ever use backup software.
I suspect you won't be using any in future after this.
