I understand skys the limit when building a computer but for a gaming/ graphic designer computer is this pretty reasonable for the price and are the brands/parts good quality?

CPU + MB - Going with the G3258 for a budget overclocking build is a good option. You can scale back a bit on the motherboard though (Z97 isn't exactly needed). With the B81 board below you loose external USB 3.0 and have only 2 SATA 6 port. The rest is a wash...
CPU Cooler - Although the stock cooler would suffice, the EVO is inexpensive and offers more peace of mind with more cooling capacity.
GPU - Upgraded it...
MEM - No need for faster frequency modules. An AMD build would show gains, but look for typical DDR3-1600 CL9 1.5v modules. Go with low latency if you want higher performance (CL7 or CL8).
PSU - Stick with XFX or Seasonic or an EVGA Supernova model. You don't want to skimp here with cheap capacitors...

Everything is good to go, but:
1, The GPU is crap, you can surely get better
2, You DO NOT need to spend 115$ AUD on the PSU.
3, You can drop the CPU cooler, the G3258 can reach 4.2 GHz and up on stock
This would be better:
