Hey guys.
So, I'm planning to buy the following components, but first I want to make sure they are 100% compatible...I hope you can help me

Motherboard -ASUS - Motherboard M5A78L-M USB3

CPU -AMD FX-6350, 6 core, 3.9Ghz

RAM -Kingston HyperX Fury Black DIMM, DDR3, 1333MHz, CL9

Also, are they compatible with my old GPU Sapphire Radeon HD 7790 2GB DDR5 ?

Thank you in advance!

Edit: Also, I have a CORSAIR VS550 , 550Watt PSU, is it enough?

Hi Doll! I'll be more than happy to help you :p

First off that archaic peace of a board would probably not be compatible unless via BIOS update.

Second off a 1333 mhz DIMM isn't sufficient for today's standards so I would recommend a DDR3 1600 MHZ DIMM

that 7790 is like a R9 270(or 270x?) that has been re-badged so I would go with a R9 270X instead. That is a somewhat good choice for a CPU, but I would go for a higher 8320/8350 since new higher end cards are coming out and they require stronger CPU's unless you know how to overclock.

CPU- 125 Watts
GPU- 150 watts
everything else - 200-250

=525 atleast :p

Do you require an mATX motherboard?

Here's a Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P AM3+ with an FX-4300 for $152 after rebate, but it's ATX. It's a much better solution, and offers a solid platform for a 95w FX-8xxx upgrade down the road.

The FX-4300 will work dandy with your HD 7790, your PSU is fine, and your AthlonII will be fine for a BIOS update -- though I doubt you will need it either way your go.

4300 is like a Phenom II X4 965 BE. It's somewhat OK for today's needs, but I feel as if a 6300/6350 or maximum a 8320 will be for the standards.
