Hello my GF's computer wont even turn on anymore. Its a already built pc from futureshop. I know i can remove the hard drive (hdd) and put it in my custom build PC. But the hard drive had windows xp in it. My new build has windows 8.1. My question is that my GF wants access to the files stored in that hard drive. Can i install it as a secondary hard drive in my PC and access the files even if windows xp is installed in it? Or it wont be possible cuz it will be installed in a different computer and ask to be formatted ???
