Sorry about wall of text but its a pretty deep problem

This problem started about 2 weeks after I built my PC. One day, it just went poof and turned itself off. 3 seconds later, it automatically turns itself back on. I went into my windows and turned off the setting that means it automatically restarts after power loss, but it will still turn on on its own.

I managed to fix this issue for about a month by opening it up, just fiddling about (things like pushing cables like CPU power and mobo power) and then I unplugged it from my surge protector and into my wall socket.

It was absolutely fine for a month, I could play the most intensive games, temps are not a problem and nothing would happen. However, a month passed and then one day it turned off and turned itself on again. I am stumped.

My educated guess would be that it's the PSU acting up but I am not sure why I fixed it for a month. I have noticed that every time I open up the computer and fiddle inside, I seem to hold off the shutdowns for a week or a few days.

I have run memtest for about 2 passes with no errors, and I have not yet seen it shutdown when not in windows. It hasn't shut down in safe mode or in the bios (however I havent tested it for very long)

My motherboard was already replaced before the build as it was DOA, and I have run stress tests on the GPU and CPU. (nothing happened)

Any help is greatly appreciated, my main question is why was I able to stop the shutdowns for a month, and why is it that every time I fiddle about inside I can stop it for a bit longer.
