There is nothing wrong with any of the components I have listed. The clock speed difference between the 4790 and the 1231v3 would be totally unnoticeable. GPU matters more than CPU for gaming anyway. Do not need a $200+ motherboard for a locked cpu either. SLI and CF do not scale well past 2 cards. You are needlessly overspending on components, and sacrificing performance as a result. You get SLI now, and can start saving for that 1440p monitor you want. ;)

No, but you cannot overclock that i7 either. Only k series chips can overclock.
