Solution snowctrl Sep 30, 2014 Max out the RAM, and then fit an SSD in place of the HD - these are the standard options to improve a laptop Seriously though, your Compaq is sufficiently old you'd do better to just replace it completely

IF you have Vista and above OS. ... provided that computer has Sata II... but I think it only has Sata I, meaning the SSD will be largely wasted Better to just buy a new machine - even a £300 new laptop will be miles quicker, and an SSD of useful size was will be £150 by itself Upvote 0 Downvote
