If you have tried the current driver provided by dell website for your laptop then it is likely a wifi card issue and not a driver issue.

You can get a new card for $20-25 on amazon.com.
I have put this card in both mine and my wifes laptop and works well, it supports dual band (n600) and bluetooth.

Hi,

Have you tried to reset your router.
If you are beside your router and the signal is low I am guessing your router or wireless adapter is defective. You need to test them out separately.

It could be that the internal antenna has disconnected from the WIFI card on the laptop. You need some more data points to determine if it is a router of laptop problem.

Use "WIFI Analyzer" on an android phone. It will show you the signal strength of your WIFI signal.

Possible the wifi antenna lead disconnected from the card as said above.

You will need to remove access panel on laptop to check that.
The WIFI Analyzer app will tell you singal stregnth of router but wont tell if antenna came loose or any issue on laptop; it will however verify that your router is working good.
If in 5ft range of router you should get -42 to -30 dbm signal if the signal stregnth is lower then that then your router is having some antenna power issues (or if router has external antennas they might have got loose a little bit)
