I think that my PSU (Corsair 430m) is on the way out as it is making very loud audible squeaking/beeping sounds. It has always been a very loud power supply as the fan spins at full rpm all the time. I was wondering if you could recommend a power supply that does not spin up unless on high load. (my system is about 300 watts maxed out)
Thanks
:)

Antec TruePower Classic 550W is in your budget (~55 quids) while being the quietest for the price, there are quieter PSUs, fanless ones (SeaSonic X series) and some not-so cheap but still very quiet like SeaSonic G or Corsair HX, but they're out of your budget.
