My desktop computer relies on an Ethernet connection to access the internet. To achieve this, our family uses Solwise home plugs (500av or something). They've worked fine in the past, par a few incidents similar to this one. All of a sudden, overnight, they stopped working. All lights on them are solid green and after troubleshooting on my PC, I got the message : "Local Area Connection" doesn't have a valid ip configuration. We've tried unplugging and resetting everything. In the past, problems similar to this have sorted themselves out. I'm no IT expert at all, so if somebody could please help and explain then it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Go and get checked all your home plugs by an technician. I think there is some fault in your plugs.

What kind of place could we take the homeplugs to, to get them checked? Also, we do have a spare homeplug that has never been used, should I test it as the main one with the router or just the one that my PC connects to or something... If it's brand new then it shouldn't be faulty, right?
