I am looking for the fastest and also quite big hard drive for my arch-viz workstation (file storage, not OS drive). From all companys which makes drives i choose i think the best:

WD

Black 4 TB
Velociraptor 1 TB

SEAGATE

SSHD (don't want this)

HITACHI (WD BRAND)

?

TOSHIBA

?

I think the best choice will be to buy WD Black 4 TB. I probably don't see any point in making RAID 0 or 1.

What do You think?

I agree with Kanewolf as far as the 1TB SSD for maximum performance. If that is out of the budget, the Enterprise drive is the next best thing. Whatever you choose, make sure you have a constant/regular backup process. Everything can fail, 99% of the time unexpectedly.
I would invest in an enterprise drive instead of going for a consumer drive. Look for a drive with a 128mb cache, it will speed up quick saves etc drastically. I've been using them in my workstations I build for a while now and have noted a speed up for file saves/syncing. I use 3dsmax, revit, autocad and photoshop and have had good experiences across the spectrum.

Also you will get a much more extensive warranty, much lower MTBF and a drive that is intended to be up 24/7 vs the consumer drives which don't deal as well with constant loads/saves that happen with autosaves, texture loads, frame buffer saves etc.
