Which GPU you are using?

It all depends on the graphics card(s) but that system only requires a 200-300w PSU.

Are you using the onboard graphics or do you have a PCIe graphics card installed? If so, what is the model number?

If you're using the onboard graphics, this would be fine and it's a Tier 2A unit so it's a very high quality unit.

Then the one outlined would work just fine for you and is a high quality PSU. You don't want to ever use a low quality PSU and you also don't need a 650W PSU for your system unless you plan to upgrade fairly soon to a discrete graphics card.

That is true. Your i5 has built-in Intel HD Graphics.

Ok thats interesting !

A friend has this one and he can give it to me if it works : http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51eupDC4TeL.jpg

Do you think its good ?

Also, I would like to upgrade and buy a GPU, but later...so my question is > can I install the 650w PSU without damaging the components I have ?

I can't understand people willing to spend large portion of their bucks on expensive components taking that these are necessary for performance but when it comes to PSUs, they give a tiny portion of their money to this component. Wrong very wrong. A good quality PSU is not an expenditure but an investment to safeguard the other components.

Don't install this PSU. Better buy Tier 1 or 2(a)(b) category PSU. Even you can buy Tier 3 category PSU if you are not overclocking.

Ok guys thank you so much for the advices ! at least i know something about PSUs now hehe :)

I will go with this : http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CP-9020078-UK-Builder-S...

Seems like Corsair is a pretty solid one

Actually, just about anything from Seasonic, XFX, EVGA or BeQuiet is a safer bet, but if it's at least Tier 2B on the list, the brand probably isn't as important since it's been tried and tested true.

The Corsair CX series uses poor capacitors... I would suggest a power supply manufactured by XFX or Seasonic.

Sora, I don't think anybody recommended any models from the CX series. But your notations are correct in the event that somebody was looking at using one of the CX units. They are Tier 3 units and we've seen a substantial number of failures with them throughout various threads.
