Planning to buy r9 285 need advice

hey guys i'm planning to buy this new graphics card radeon r9 285 because it comes with dx 12 support and fits my budget but i want to ask that should i wait for r9 285x or a better dx 12 supoorted gpu that will come under the same budget as r9 285 or just buy this gpu??

I need advice urgently.

285 is decent, though not earth shattering. It does have a slew of new features some of the older cards do not have. As far as bang for the buck, the GTX 970 has it for days. You would need to crossfire two 285's to get a little more power. The 970 is currently running for about $329 depending on where you look. Also, any of the Kepler and later cards from Nvidia, and the GCN cards from AMD will run dx 12.

Also, there is nothing concrete about the 285x, and it is supposed to only have marginally better performance than the 280x. So we'll see. The 970 on the other hand is about equal with the 290x.

thnx man for that advice and for my benifit you really changed my mind i'm buying this gtx 970 card.
