try to make this quick and easy as for I am computer savvy but can't get this figured out

whole PC is about a month old

cpu: i7 4930k
psu: 1200 EVGA P2
gpu (660) now problem started when i installed evga 970
mobo: ASUS rampage IV black edition

I deleted old drivers before I installed the new 970 l turned off computer plugged in my new 970's and computer turns on fans, lights, etc. but keyboard, mouse and monitor get no signal or power.

I have hit the clear cmos button a hundred times, removed ram sticks, unplugged power cord and held the power button, tried old graphics card and new one again and different slots same results. Double checked the connections on each component all are good. Now my system is water cooled and usually when i turn on my pc the cpu waterblock lights up now it doesnt so Im thinkin thats my problem the processor isnt powering up. I feel like the computers bios just need to be reset and I have removed the mobo battery but I either cant get the system to reset bios or need a new method to try to do so!

components on mobo drivers and stuff were all updated before I removed my old gpu. but both cards i get the same issue with so I dont know what to do now im stuck! No water has leeked out of my loop and onto components and Theres no possible way components are broken or anything. I just had it all working great till I went to install my new gtx 970s.

I also have all power pins connected to the cards, they are seated correctly and the only thing I can see is the cpu i dont believe is getting power or something cause when i turn the pc off the light on the waterblock flashes. So i really believe i just need to reset or flash bios but dont know how to do that since I get nothing on my monitor

Witht he PSU unplugged from the wall, remove everything but the processor, cooler & fan, psu, and 1 ram stick into the d1 slot. Make sure your 24pin and 8pin cpu header is down firmly. Check that no Front Panel wiring has come loose. Connect the monitor to the integrated output.

Plug in the psu. press the start button on the motherbd while paying attention the 4 led's by the 24pin header. These should light up one at a time and then go out. If theres a problem the LED for that device will stay lit. Since we dont have a boot device connected it should halt there.

If there s a problem with Memory, is the mem OK lit on? if yes then press it to begin memory tuning. If it wont go out then pull the plug and try another memory module.

yes I have a water loop so I had to move the system to drain the loop and all that before I could install the gpu's and i did the mem test on the board and it was good. None of my components are bad though they are all brand new. and worked perfectly till I switched graphic cards and now neither of them work when In the PCI 3.0 slots

okay I hit that button a few times just to try and get lucky but didnt seem to have success. With that said I didnt know exactly how that button worked! Imma try that and moving the jumper pin (if this mobo has one) tonight and if that don't work Imma toss that thing out into the woods and hit with my 4x4 and drop another 500 on a good OC board! appreciate all your help will let you know what works (if anything works)!

Okay, have still not solved the issue. Did 5 hours of troubleshooting last night. 1) I did everything you mentioned above and then some. 2) My cpu fan led in red / Q-code 00 is displaying which manual says means (not used) and have done a ROG connect bios update with all 6 bios they had for my board and still says 00 in post boot. So that is my problem the motherboard will not post boot! And I have hit the clear cmos button a thousand times, have updated bios in both bio switches hoping to get this thing going. But no success. I dont understand how this coulda have happened when all i did was swap VGA cards! And I even left the mobo battery out for 12 hours yesterday and that didnt sovle it either! I remounted cpu and checked for damage which I knew was good to begin with just to see and nothing is wrong and everything looks good! all power is where it should be and I get no beeps. I can remove everything but the psu and cpu and still get no beeps and q-code 00 still displays even with no ram, hdd, sdd, ooptical drives etc. I just need a way to get this stupid mobo off post boot mode!

Did you forget to plug the cpu fan signal from your water cooling into the cpu_fan header? Many motherbd wont start without a cpu fan signal.

if you did, try unplugging it and sticking in any 3 or 4 pin fan that works; just be sure your water pump is working.

well I have tried 2 PSU's and get the error on both so its not a psu problem and I hadn't touched the cpu so it's not that either I'd say (I have inspected it before i benched test the system and everything look brand new). And I dont have a heatsink for a cpu for my processor as for it's all watercooled. But yes i did plug the cpu block light into the cpu fan header. My pump is 12v 450s which goes straight to a perf psu cord no connection to the mobo is required. Now when i plugged the cpu block light into a different fan header on the board it would light up but on the cpu fan header it never would light up but would flash when turning the system off. But popatim thank you for your help, I have tried everything I could think of and read 100 million post with the same problem and seems like nobody has ever figured out the problem or reason for this to happen. I was able to get the board RMA and bought a cheap board for the mean time! Again, thank you sir for your time and trying to help!
