I recently (today) got a gtx 760 replacement for my faulty one and after a certain number of hours in gaming it will lose connection to the hdmi and the gpu fans will go full speed and make a horrible noise.. It's getting really annoying when play competitive games like Dota 2 and CS:GO, Any help would be much appreciated :) .

(I realise there is a recent thread on the 760 doing this but that involved the hdmi cutting out and fans going crazy when that person boots up the pc, not when running games)

running games if the p[c fans and gpu fans go to 100 percent it a power supply issue the unit not holding your rig up.

Try resetting your CMOS before replacing anything.

I do have a spare 750 psu somewhere, it's not modular, that's why I'm not using it, I'll try it in and if the problem stops, then I'll send my CX750M back under warranty. (I have been playing around with the fans speeds a bit in msi after burner and it's temporarily fixed, is it a good idea to change how much power the gpu receives?)
